TrayGames will choose one Grand Prize winner to receive a game publishing contract
with the TrayGames Network including an advance of $10,000.
Application Requirements
Like all games submitted for publication on the TrayGames Network, Challenge submissions
must be multi-player and conform to the Submission Guidelines established by TrayGames.
TrayGames reserves the right to request or require alterations to games, content
and related materials before accepting them for release.
To Enter
Complete the TrayGames Developer Challenge application form, which can be completed
by visiting the Challenge page on the TrayGames Developer Zone at
http://developer.traygames.com/challenge/.
Developers may submit more than one entry.
Incomplete entry data and/or submissions may be deemed ineligible at the sole discretion
of TrayGames.
Timing
The challenge is open from June 12, 2006 until the concept submission deadline of
August 28, 2006. Completed entries (working beta) must be received no later than
September 5, 2006.
Detailed dates are as follows:
- Signup period for participation: June 12, 2006 through August 28, 2006
- Acceptance/Feedback/Rejection period: June 12, 2006 through August 31, 2006
- Submission of Concept: Not later than August 28, 2006
- Submission of Working Beta: Not later than September 5, 2006
- Judging: September 8 through September 29, 2006
- Winner announced: October 2, 2006
Eligibility
Submitting developer (individual or company) must join and be an accepted member
of the TrayGames Developer Program (free to participants) before submitting entry.
Employees of TrayGames or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion
agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees' families (defined
as parents, children, siblings, spouses and life partners).
All submissions and submission data must be in English, though Developers are encouraged
to plan for Localisation.
Submitted games must be exclusive to TrayGames for multi-player play a minimum of
12 months.
Use of Data
All individual contact information provided by developers will be kept confidential
and used only for the purposes of communication with you during the challenge.
Developer Program profile data provided as part of the studio sign up process will
be used for normal promotional purposes for finalist and released games.
Developers may be required to provide additional material or become involved in
further publicity or advertising.
The Developer agrees that TrayGames can, at its discretion, include the information
about the Game and Developer in external press materials, post information about
the Game on TrayGames websites and include or reference Games in external demonstrations
and presentations.
Selection of Winners
Winners will be judged by a panel consisting of TrayGames staff and outside panel
members. Finalists will be notified at the beginning of the judging period
of their status, and the winners notified
The judges' decisions are final. All participants agree to abide by the decision
of the judges.
The Prize
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a prize consisting of a $10,000 cash advance
against game royalties as part of a standard game release contract.
Additional cash prize advances may be awarded to secondary winners at the discretion
of TrayGames.
List of Winners
Winning Games will be announced on the Challenge site and through press contacts.
Participating Developers will be profiled at the Challenge site during the entry
phase.
The Fine Print
In the unlikely event of a dispute, TrayGames' decision shall be final.
TrayGames reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw this competition
at any time without notice.
